Ep 25: "Fallen Star Pt 12"
Hello, and welcome to the Queen's of Nerdom podcast. I am Tay, and I play Melody in our first RPG or role playing game. This is not a Dungeons and Dragons, but a homebrew game created by our very own doctor Awesome, aka Eric, who is our game master. This takes place in the world of Sariva, and we are currently playing act 1 fallen star. Stay tuned to hear what other mysteries lie ahead in the city for our poor unfortunate souls.
Melody (Tay):Real quick. Did we already do shots and a message? Oh, I
Dolion (Willie):need to get my shot.
Melody (Tay):Hold on. We have not done these shots.
Dolion (Willie):You know, let me get a shot
Melody (Tay):instead of just Swig. Swig scout.
Mara (Jenn):I'll do
Dolion (Willie):that. I'll do that.
Mara (Jenn):Swig scout.
Melody (Tay):Just swig it just a little bit. Everything's a song in my head. Sorry.
Mara (Jenn):No. You're fine. Actually, it's really helpful when you have autistic children.
Dolion (Willie):What's that? Make everything a song?
Melody (Tay):Oh, yeah. Make everything a song and they wanna do it.
Dolion (Willie):It's that a
Mara (Jenn):I have.
Dolion (Willie):It's easier to remember stuff and, you know
Melody (Tay):Yeah. Makes it fun.
Dolion (Willie):Cognitive too. A lot of Right.
Melody (Tay):Got me
Mara (Jenn):from nursing school too.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):More of this, blue chair.
Mara (Jenn):I made a song about everything.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):I just pulled it out my teeth. It worked. So I was like, alright.
Mara (Jenn):Did you? Are you serious? Oh my god. You're a savage.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Well, you know, we're talking about pirates.
Dolion (Willie):House of pirates over there. Dinner things.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):To friends and a good time. Bonzai.
Melody (Tay):Cheers. Bonzai.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Rum.
Mara (Jenn):Down to my belly.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Rum, rum, rum. Catch. Okay. Alright. So last time, our heroes were together.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):We were still in the city of Ballenforth, but developments came about. Dolion was looking to find his son. You know, as as you guys could tell, things were building up. Like, you knew some sort of huge battle was on the way. Of course, Dolion didn't know how huge of a battle was on the way until, everything kinda blew up in everyone's face there for for lack of a better explanation.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So you guys saw the buildup happening, but until, Mara and Melody and Jer ended up going on a side, little side quest to go to the library and ended up outside of the castle. Then they noticed by accident, they came across all the imperial reinforcements were were slain in the on a nearby road, so the city wasn't gonna get any help. They also noticed that the monster board had broken off into 4 or 5 groups that had totally surrounded the city, not just on that one side. So things were a lot worse than what it appeared from within the city walls, but there was no way to get word back to Machitis or Dolion inside the city. They did end up getting back into the city with the help of some, Hytherian, nomads, a bunch of raiders that were camped out in just south of, Thorn steps.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So they ended up near there. They ran to the these Hyperians. The Hyperians agreed to go back into the city as a favor to the duchess to try to help get the duchess duchess out of the city because they still respected her especially because their time when her the duke was still around and fought against them, they were they were always honorable. So the iotherium, clans, they still respected them and they didn't think it was fair that they get wiped out just because the imperial alliances failures. So they get back into the city all this time.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):The only I'm trying to find,
Melody (Tay):for personal reasons for myself, because I found the, my mother or what I thought was my mother.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):But it was a man. No. That's right.
Melody (Tay):I know it was. Last name.
Dolion (Willie):Are we in Bangkok?
Melody (Tay):What is going on over here? No. All these years, I've
Dr. Awesome (Eric):been hiding a secret. I got something to tell you.
Melody (Tay):He's like,
Dr. Awesome (Eric):you know me as mom, but you have these hairy balls. So, yeah. So That
Mara (Jenn):boy was me.
Melody (Tay):Oh, I can take this off the screen if you want. Sorry.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Oh, it doesn't matter. Yeah. If you wanna put up the map, it does just for reference. Yeah. So it was a good idea you were telling them where you guys had been.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So, needless to say, this during this period, of all the things you guys were doing, Dolion would've been in the city when the attacks started. So, you saw the you saw the use of firearms a lot, and it and it and it definitely helped as a force multiplier, but the problem was, the reinforcements that were supposed to come had the majority of, like, artillery kind of stuff, like cannons and whatnot and mortars. So, just the riflemen that were there did their best, but while you were looking for a good way to get out of the city without running into, like, hordes and hordes of monsters to fight, So, basically, you were looking, a, I can go underground and through those tunnels that we rent went through before, I know it dumps out into the river. So but when that when that came up, you got down there and you noticed that's how the Knowles and the, Arlorn and everything decided they were gonna get into the city. So when you got down to look into the the under the cathedral, Dolion noticed, hey.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):The monsters thought of this idea too to come into the city. So barring passing the entire army, you went back out. The battle went on for a while. You guys were gone for about a day and a half. So in that time, you're all it boiled down to Dolion's only option was to get up to, like, one of the walls, wait for a a lull in the battle, and try to just scale off the side down and then kinda book it as it got dark.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Bad thing is the horde can see in the dark mostly most monsters have a very good ability to see in the dark so but you were kind of out of options. You can't go out the gates because that's where most of the main battle's happening. The underground was not an option. You you don't know how to fly. So this was about where you had it.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So at this point is when the met the the, you heard a virus. Alright? While you're on the wall. Yep. You though are, you know, seeing that.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):1, you you attribute a lot of that to just being exhausted. It's been a day and a half you haven't been able to sleep at all. 1, your fear of the son you've never met, you know, or you haven't really spent any time seen since you've been here, can die in this battle. And 2, you've been you know, you guys have been fighting all sorts of crap and getting very little rest. So you could have attribute, like, am I hearing things, seeing things?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Do I just need rest? Meanwhile, Mara, Melody, Jer, and some others are in a a safe house. And, Melody, you have your choice to be made.
Melody (Tay):Yes. And I am oh, this is not what I wanna be doing here. I will I can move it over here because this is this is where we're at right now. Right?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah. I can bring it up. I'll I'll I'll bring up the other Rum?
Melody (Tay):No. Got you.
Dolion (Willie):Fuck. Rum. Halloween? What?
Melody (Tay):My decision is that I will be, halving my EPMP for 2 days.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay.
Melody (Tay):Alright. Old dolby on over.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Good call because at this point, you know, like I said, it was gonna be Dolion trying to book it through the through the night and hopefully pass by a bunch of creatures who see naturally in the night. So it's, yeah, he's got skills to be stealth, but it kinda takes away part of his, his, ability to get past them. So, anyway, while you're standing on the walls looking to possibly jump over some cross river, go through to the forest, Do you feel this, like the hairs start to raise on your skin and stuff? And immediately at first, you're like, oh, maybe it's someone's about to attack. So you're like looking all over the place and you notice that, it appears to be, light blue electricity jumping on your body.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):And then Yes. Boom. In a in a crack like thunder, you're gone. Okay? The only thing you see is it kinda looks like, almost like the Saturday morning cartoons.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Remember that little tunnel thing where it's like light and you just kinda, whoo, and it went on and then, you know, we'll be back in a moment. But it's like that, and then, bam, you're in the middle of the forest. Okay? It's super dark. You're in the middle of the forest.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):You're like, immediately, of course, you're, you know, checking to make sure you're you're not, like, a whole horde of monsters behind you. So you're, like, spinning around, checking my back, looking around. You do see what appears to be some sort of firelight, could be a campfire, could be lanterns, maybe, you know, a football field or 2 ahead of you. So Yeah. You don't notice any other activity in the area.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Sounds I mean, battle sounds are off to your to your right. Your guess is a couple miles off. So, you should you're pretty much alone in a, in a dark dark wood.
Melody (Tay):Mhmm.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So that's where we're at now. Do you wanna make your way towards the campfires? Or
Dolion (Willie):I will approach the campfire, but obviously I'm trying to stick to the shadows because, that that's a very weird way to, you know, leave one place and end up in another place kinda hard.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So It's like, I don't even know who called me.
Melody (Tay):I don't
Dr. Awesome (Eric):know her dropping here.
Dolion (Willie):So This has never happened before.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Hopefully, it's not old Snatch sitting there waiting to make a deal. Like, alright. Bring the devil. I'm the devil, and I got a plan. Devil.
Mara (Jenn):Awesome. To the devil.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Alright. So you guys are in that that safe house right now. I'm gonna have to send you guys the new updated, MPC list, which I'll email to you, all 3 of you here shortly. But, like I said, you got some of them you'll you'll still have on your, your information, but you got sir Gideon there, Raelina Creighton, who now that her mother and father are gone is basically she's duchess Creighton. So I should probably update that as her actual rank.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay. So, you got an old, I mean, like, older than Gideon, old, soldier there. All of them are from the old alliance. Okay? So they basically beelined it here to try to keep Ralina safe as a as a, you know, in honor of their their duties to the duchess and the duke from before and to the king and the whole former Serenity Alliance.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So, I'll send you their information so you guys have that. The one thing that you guys have all been talking or you guys have kind of been resting. You, Melody, Mara, Jer have been resting because you guys went through a bunch of stuff in a short period of time in a day and half. I mean, you traveled across a good third of this map back and forth. So exhaustion is is there, but at at least here you got a hot fire.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):You guys have blankets. You can get clean your clothes. You know, use use, this time to kind of freshen yourself up, get some rest in, attend any wounds that you might have. I know Jer had a couple from his encounter, so did Melody, with the Obsidian Knights because they were a lot more formidable than most of the event, fighters you've come across before. They were actually using skills back at you, which is shows that their their level of elite a little bit higher than the normal soldier you come across.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Normal soldier may have 1 or 2 skills, you know what I mean, at best, But these guys are cracking out skills that, you know, were knocking you guys down, and, I mean, even stood up to heavy attacks from, Genjiro. So, plus, you guys were able to see, one of Genjiro's abilities that was used in the city, which was pretty powerful. So in in that, if he if he hit them hit those knights and they were still up and at them and fighting, they're pretty tough.
Melody (Tay):Dolion, he turned into an iron dragon.
Dolion (Willie):Me?
Melody (Tay):No. No. Gengjiro. Gengjiro turning to an actual dragon.
Dolion (Willie):That's that's a that's about this. Dolion turned it. Turn it
Melody (Tay):into fire jack. Dolion? I didn't
Mara (Jenn):know. No. Dolion, he he turned into, Genjiro actually.
Melody (Tay):He turned into an actual dragon.
Dolion (Willie):Wow. And that still wasn't enough,
Melody (Tay):I mean, he was tossing dudes too. Okay. Trying to protect Melody. He saved my life.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):That's my dad. Guy. So you guys are getting rest, and Jiro's unconscious. Obviously, like he told you before, it's a trick he could do. It's not something he could do all the time.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So he needed to rest. Jared took some pretty bad, sword wounds. He even got stabbed in the chest if y'all remember right Mhmm. Pretty well. So, he's he's definitely out and resting.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):The knights all keep coming back and forth and they're they're they Raylena is doing her own thing, basically mourning the loss of her mother close to the fireplace. They keep talking because they know what Raylena wants to do. You guys have heard what Raylena wants to do. Rilina feels that if the old alliance was still there, and her father or her mother was in charge and, you know, the knights and stuff of the old alliance are still around. This wouldn't ever happen to her people.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):You know? And all those innocent lives that are lost and stuff are because the imperial alliance doesn't really seem to give a shit. You know? So let's say this this battle and siege in the city only takes a couple, you know, let's say it takes a couple thousand before the the you guys saw the Obsidian order arrive with their airships and kinda end the battle. Right?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):But for that day the battle was going on, you know that at least a 1,000, maybe more people probably died in just being collateral damage. So there's a lot of wise that you guys, you know, have to you guys came across all those dead reinforcements. It was obvious that they were killed by the airships, which make no sense. So the airships killed the reinforcements then show up later and save the city. So that was kinda like but now if you think about it, there's nobody at the city to oppose them from saying, hey.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):We're gonna take charge and protect the city. So remember way back in the beginning when we first started talking, the town crier, which Melody went up to, had mentioned talks of areas that the Obsidian Order have kind of annexed. They've cities and stuff, they've come along and just, hey. We'll defend you and we'll help you, you know, protect yourselves. You guys may have just witnessed them take over Balanford, not by attacking the people or anything like that.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):They came in and saved the situation, but now they're there to stay. So, Dolan, you're coming pretty close to the area. You haven't you haven't seen anything stand out. Nothing like traps or anything in the area. You do think that this is a very difficult location to find.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So this house is hidden on purpose. You notice plants and so forth. As you're close enough to view the the cabin, they've situated it to where the trees and everything, if you were just going through the the forest on the main road or trying to take one of the main trails, you would have never noticed this place. So it is a, a well hidden cabin. Off to the right, though, where you heard that battle noise about a mile off, you do sense motion.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):And, you guys in the cabin, you're, made aware by, I'm gonna give you their stuff here in a second. But, the old the older the older stocky guy, stocky being a nice way to say that he's overweight, he says there's a there's a group of individuals off to the, okay. So you guys are here. The battle that Dollyon is hearing is off in this direction. So somewhere out here is where that battle sound is going.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):You guys would be closer to this this area, right underneath the h and this tomato. This This tomato right here is your guys' home. There you go. So you guys are in this area. Here's, you know, battle off to that way, but dolion, you came through here, just off from you right here is motion of a group of people.
Mara (Jenn):You said we hear it?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):The older guy, Winters, tells you guys that there's a there's a group of individuals moving towards this place. They're within a, within, 50 meters of the cabin. So they How much do you putting out the fireplace.
Mara (Jenn):Come with me. Let's meet them outside winters. Okay.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Alright. Gideon says, do we wanna draw a tent do we wanna draw a battle here?
Mara (Jenn):Do I Do we I don't want to draw a battle, but I would rather meet them outside than be stuck in the cabin.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay. Are we all agreed on that then?
Melody (Tay):Yeah. Do we do we know, like, who's coming? Like, does the old guy, old Winters know? Okay.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):No. He says I just I just I was on top of the, cabin watching, looking out, and I noticed that there there's a I
Melody (Tay):was there washing a dish.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah. I was washing a dish.
Mara (Jenn):You were washing a dish?
Melody (Tay):I was in my basement.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah.
Melody (Tay):I will also go out but stay kind of closer to the cabin as I'm, not as much EPMP. So I'm just kinda like staying back, to watch what occurs.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay.
Mara (Jenn):I will cast, Crimson Firebats, but in the essence of for lights. Okay.
Melody (Tay):Alright.
Mara (Jenn):K. I did it like a mofo.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay. No problems there. Dolion, you obviously see the crimson fire bats. That's something very familiar to you come come out from the front area of the cabin, kind of illuminating a small pond just outside the cabin. And, you see a few figures that have exited the cabin.
Melody (Tay):So,
Dolion (Willie):I'm not going to approach him head on. I do know that that's kinda Mara's signature move, but it's her, and I I'm guessing I could recognize, you know, the the the silhouette of Melody leaving it as well, but I don't know, And kenjero, if he's still rolling with him. But the 2 people that you mentioned, I guess Winters and Gideon, I don't know them. So, you know, I'll I'll just Yeah. Follow them, but I'm not meeting them head on.
Dolion (Willie):You know? Okay. What's going on.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Alright. So you kinda, like, wanna strafe that position so you can kinda keep eyes on it?
Dolion (Willie):Yeah.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay. So you're kinda getting around a little pond area. Like I said, there's a lot of foliage that's been left in on purpose to block the cabin. When you're doing that, the light that Mara has released with the crimson fire bats, all of you could see is a group of about, you know, a handful of people coming through the forest that are are trying to sneak by is what you see this this group right, you know, right here. They're trying to sneak on by.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):They don't even probably notice the cabin yet because the way the trees are, plus the fire has been put out inside the cabin. The light goes up though and you do hear a grunt from the group. And then so you hear a grunt from the group, and one of the, possible 5 or 6 people goes darting off, like, further towards the west, but you know that they're flanking. They're coming around. But it's fast.
Melody (Tay):Can I, please go ahead?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):It's fast like Dolion faster, possibly faster.
Melody (Tay):I'm gonna summon animal.
Dolion (Willie):Impossible.
Mara (Jenn):So this is a large fort. What?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Why does that keep Master's evasion. Impossible.
Dolion (Willie):I'm the combination lock. It's the vault of justice out here.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay. Can I
Melody (Tay):ask tomorrow, like, what she's doing with summoning in a summoning in summoning an animal?
Mara (Jenn):This is a large forest. I'm hoping that there are dire creatures in here.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Alright. Go ahead and roll your chance to summon.
Dolion (Willie):Dire wolf, maybe?
Melody (Tay):I got a 39.
Dolion (Willie):Alright.
Mara (Jenn):That's what
Melody (Tay):I'm hoping.
Mara (Jenn):What's that? Is there
Melody (Tay):any, higher level creatures or high intelligence creatures
Dr. Awesome (Eric):that are buried? Lot of creatures. Of course, you're deep in the forest. From the lowly worm
Melody (Tay):I'm gonna ask
Dr. Awesome (Eric):the worms. Up to yeah. I know. All the way up to, who initially responds to you saying in a not speaking, but in in sharing to you an emotion and an image of watching Ballenforth and the nearby battle going on and all the fires and stuff shares an image to you and the emotion of, not necessarily sadness, but disappointment. But it seems to be from very high up.
Mara (Jenn):I, I reflect that disappointment and sadness, and I show them the cabin where I'm at.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Alright. It looks down towards the cabin and
Mara (Jenn):I was gonna do the backup music.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):That was perfect. That was the perfect,
Mara (Jenn):Was it? Thanks, babe. I can't beatbox. Wait, can you beatbox, Willy? Beat beat beatbox something.
Mara (Jenn):Can you do it? I can't do it.
Dolion (Willie):I wanna have I
Melody (Tay):can do the boots. Beatbox.
Mara (Jenn):I can do the boots and pants.
Melody (Tay):She's skipping for you.
Mara (Jenn):Dude, is that Blade? I would just went back to Blade from
Dolion (Willie):Blade, rave scene. The video. The
Dr. Awesome (Eric):rave scene. Yes.
Melody (Tay):And they're like, he's
Dolion (Willie):Warren Cockrell. Are you talking Oh, my friend? Is it is it is that the animal you're talking to or you don't know? You just know it's a aerial creature.
Mara (Jenn):I just I know it's an aerial creature at
Melody (Tay):this point. I'm just looking for a I'm phoning a friend.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Could have been a pirate
Dolion (Willie):if, somebody didn't kill it, but you know. Oh,
Dr. Awesome (Eric):shots fired.
Mara (Jenn):There are
Melody (Tay):more than one Wyren out here in the forest, the forestry. Okay?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):It's not the only wyren.
Mara (Jenn):The same thing as killing a squirrel. Okay.
Dolion (Willie):Invade wyren state.
Melody (Tay):How many people have you decapitated again?
Dolion (Willie):Those people are trying to keep it. You're welcome.
Mara (Jenn):But they were all bad.
Melody (Tay):Good not bad.
Dolion (Willie):Mara didn't wanna talk to them, so obviously they weren't nice. So there's that.
Melody (Tay):At least I didn't set them
Mara (Jenn):on fire and, like, melt them. Okay?
Melody (Tay):I'm I'm moving up in the world.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):That's not the image.
Melody (Tay):Acid blast? Hey. How you doing?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay. Why is it?
Melody (Tay):It's it's Pepe Lechu
Mara (Jenn):was a soldier.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):It's just sharing whatever it wants, apparently. It doesn't care what I wanna share.
Mara (Jenn):You can Like You can Hey.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Have a But there it is.
Mara (Jenn):That's what's flying shit.
Melody (Tay):Is it? No one else going to. I just
Dolion (Willie):see I just see the No. So stop stop sharing this screen.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):That's not even up anymore. Stop sharing and then reshare it again. Yeah.
Mara (Jenn):It's okay. Sorry.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Technical difficulties.
Melody (Tay):You're fine. It's okay.
Mara (Jenn):I was in the car.
Dolion (Willie):That's what's wrong.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay.
Melody (Tay):And you were like I
Mara (Jenn):was like,
Melody (Tay):and I was in the car. So Oh, shit.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):That's what it shows you from above as circling your cabin.
Dolion (Willie):It's coming to
Mara (Jenn):us. Fuck. Okay. Change of plans.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):And it's a let me I can give you a description.
Mara (Jenn):No. I don't need
Dr. Awesome (Eric):a description. 6 foot 8, 7 foot tall.
Melody (Tay):Fuck.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Fuck. Moving very fast, very, very fast.
Dolion (Willie):It's Lebron James.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yes. That is his name. Yeah.
Mara (Jenn):Oh, okay. I'll I'll draw my my sword in one hand, and then I'll draw my wand in the other, And then I will cast a seismic strike to the ground in the direction of that thing.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Alright. Okay. So you seismic strike the ground in that direction. There's a sphere that's launched into the sky from your right, Dolion, probably about 20, 30 meters from you. It's launched into the sky and it and it's like a flare.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):It explodes in a brilliant bright light. When you do seismic strike, it goes towards that, this guy, and he leaps up and he blocks. And you notice that the he doesn't take the magic damage. Then he pushes off a tree, and he can jump. So he controlled jump, which is kinda like, the way to understand that is they can kind of jump off air.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):If you've ever seen, like, Shaolin
Mara (Jenn):bumps, seems
Dr. Awesome (Eric):like they're jumping off the air.
Melody (Tay):Yeah.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Well, he he pushes off the tree when he first jumps, and then he jumps again. And he lands on the cabin behind you and Winters and, whoever. Alright? Now he lets out a roar. You gotta roll your magic resistance.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Dolion, you'll have roll the same. You're underneath him and kinda behind him, Melody, so you don't have to. But, he does a roar as he lands and it definitely affects everybody out in the cone shape from the cabin at about a good 50 meters.
Dolion (Willie):Oh, that's it. That's my other for the inside. Yeah. Here we go.
Melody (Tay):I got it.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay. And roll your morale negative 3. It's the only time you roll a 20 and you want it to be low. Melody, you do have to roll it back too.
Melody (Tay):Okay. The 27?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah. He's causing fear.
Mara (Jenn):It's negative what?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Negative 3. So under your morale, negative 3.
Mara (Jenn):I got a one. Got it.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay. You're good.

Dolion (Willie):First, that's a relief because I was hoping to that he would have left the city because there is, I doubt there's many survivors coming out of there. So I also, for whatever reason, heard a voice, from my friend in prison that passed away who told me the same. He just said my son wasn't in the city and, that I should get out of there. Dr. Awesome (Eric):Well, he's yeah. I mean, that was for the, with the the, Obsidian orders airships to take one of those out, but if he's gonna buy a ticket on an airship, it'll probably won't be one that works for the Obsidian order.

Dr. Awesome (Eric):The airship from Shadow's Bluff will probably just, I mean, travel straight over to the other continent. You know what I mean? It can trade or whatever. So it'll go back and forth, and then you'll be able to just get off there and travel. You know?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):But, yeah, by foot, that's why it'd be, like, an extremely long trip because you guys pass through the your guys' mountain range, which kinda sits right here, and then you would just come down through the central plains and then take forever. But, I mean, there's a lot going that way. If you remember in the first night of you guys getting together, you heard that the holy order, which is over here, the holy order of light, which is centered in Andara, It's kinda like, the holy Roman church. They're they're the ones asking for a crusade against the Armenian people because they believe that, they're keeping the this ancient artifact that's very important, and they want it back. So there's people traveling for this crusade back all the way across this country.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So finding finding travel there isn't gonna be too hard because there's a lot of people trying to go there, you know, even for bad reasons. But
Mara (Jenn):Who is the crusade against?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):The Armenians. So basically, a lot like our crusades, it's Europeans versus Middle Eastern.
Mara (Jenn):Got it.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So and this would be where the Eastern empire is that, Genjiro comes from. And then if you go a little bit further this way, this is where Aggravar people come from, the Corellians, the cat people.

Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah. So they're all a long way from home. Speaking of long way from home, your people are from here, Mara, so that's practically on the other side of the planet for me.

Melody (Tay):At the Blackwell ruins?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah. Right. Part of it fell here at the Blackwell ruins. And can you am I okay. So part of it fell here, and then, you know, little pieces fell throughout the the as it traveled across the sky, and then it was basically aimed at the home of the holy order of light and the serenity alliance, the old king of the that used to rule all this continent.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):The the the knights that you're with right now. Okay? They used to rule this whole area. Okay? But it was headed here, but the child of light or Sariva stopped it from hitting the planet.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):But the little pieces that broke off on the way is what destroyed Blackwell, destroyed parts of here. But when each of those impacts hit, you gotta think you know that crater in Arizona? That's a good example. That they suspect that that thing was roughly the size of a Volkswagen Beetle, I think is what they said. And it left that huge crater and probably wiped out all life for a couple miles around that area.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So you gotta think the same impact, you know, little pieces of the dark star falling off and hitting all across this, you know, continent changed a lot of the surface. Like, your guys' mountain range is more visible now from balance forth. Like, this whole area
Melody (Tay):Mhmm.

Dr. Awesome (Eric):guys are going through East Pass. See what I'm saying?

Dr. Awesome (Eric):So, I mean, you know, changes in, when meteors hit the planet can can be pretty impactful or no pun intended. Okay. I'm gonna stop sharing that. Okay. Okay.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So you guys get some rest. You guys can eat some food. Realina's sitting at a table, and, the knights are all talking. And, of course, you know, you guys can overhear some of the stuff they're saying is that we can gather some of the forces. They're still loyal people in Drakirk and Ogris and, Iticus and, you know, maybe we can at least bring the alliance back to protect the people with all these wars going on.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):You know, they don't believe in the, crusade. They think it's a, a ploy to get people to attack Armenia, to weaken the the Armenian nation, and then, there'll be nobody left powerful enough to stand up to the Obsidian order. I mean, the imperial armies, you guys have seen it. They're not they're not capable of standing up. So, you know, the Obsidian Order is doing their thing.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Moving along. Moving it along. Now, you guys got to talk about it with, Jericho the other night at your campfire talk, but Dolion missed that. So Genjiro brings it up again. He says, so what were we looking at?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Like, Arianna's one of many possible gods that have been imprisoned or elder gods that have been imprisoned. Okay? We've we've learned that much. So someone defeated Arianna and imprisoned the goddess in the crystal that we're looking
Mara (Jenn):for. Right.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Alright. According to the record of the ages, way back, all the elder gods got together with Seriva and battled some pretty big bad guys. Fallen one was a fallen angel named Lordran. All the elder gods got together with Seriva and helped her defeat him and imprison him in the moon of Jurai. Right.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Now if a bad guy like that were to come back again and people like Arianna who was there to help Sereiva is no longer there, and you guys haven't heard of a child of light being born, child of light is the avatar of Seriva. Okay? When they come to the age of, ascension, basically, the to reach the divinity, they reach a certain age, and if they've met all this criteria of gaining the power of Seriva, they become Seriva on the planet.
Dolion (Willie):Mhmm. K?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So, basically, it's like Jesus earning his stripes and becoming God on the planet walking around. K? So but there that's supposed to happen every so every generation. You know, every so many generations, there's a couple children born who are capable of becoming the child of life. Well, that hasn't nobody's heard of that in a while, at least not in the lifetime of anybody in this group.
Mara (Jenn):Well, I think the the other issue that we were facing is that and there was no chosen born either.
Melody (Tay):Mhmm.
Mara (Jenn):So correct me if I'm wrong, but the chosen were usually 7 warriors that were endowed with, certain virtues that would, battle with the child of light.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah. They protect the child of light.
Melody (Tay):Yeah. And
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Basically, 7 warriors
Mara (Jenn):are born.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah. Yeah. So with Seriva, who's the goddess, she's like, Jesus. 7 chosen are born basically to house the power of, of 7 warrior angels. Okay?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So each of those would carry a power or or or gift depending on what they were. Like, one of them is the champion of blades. Okay? So he cannot be defeated in a 1 on 1 fight with a sword or with a weapon, you know, like in a duel. He's in undefeatable.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay? So each of them were given a gift, and they were to protect the child of light till she reaches divinity and she could stop whatever evil's coming. Well, that hasn't happened. So, anyway, I mean, you guys don't see any epic evil out there that you're worried about at the moment anyway. Right?
Melody (Tay):Well, I Except for k. I mean,

Mara (Jenn):think that one of the bigger issues is there's actually constellations in the sky that aren't there that are supposed to be.
Melody (Tay):Mhmm.
Mara (Jenn):There was
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah. This I think this is all stuff early on missed.
Melody (Tay):Yeah. The this is why we got the, constellation map.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):The star chart was to show Yeah. Which constellations are missing. And the reason that's important, Dolion, is because you guys have that Irene, that librarian woman here, and she explains to you that the constellations, the stars represent the gods. Okay? So when Arianna would come down to the planet to help Seriva or do anything in in a mortal form, her stars would be gone, you know, and then she'd they basically come down.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):She'd become mortal and do her thing and then, you know, go back. Some of those stars are missing. Obviously, our Arianna's star is missing. Other stars are missing. Now you guys have an old star chart to try to match it up, but the the strange thing is the holy order of light that reread every so many decades reissues books and redoes the record of the ages and rereleases the word of the creator, basically the bible.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Their new star chart doesn't even show the stuff that's missing.
Melody (Tay):Yeah.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):But they have to know because they're the ones that make the star chart every year. Mhmm. So just little things that don't, you know, inadequacy. Things that just don't add up. So but anyway
Melody (Tay):like, trying to, like, cover it up that people are like missing.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Yeah. And there's a constant thing that's always goes on here on Sariva is orthodox creationists and new new age creationists. Okay? You gotta think of it kinda like, old world beliefs and new world beliefs. The orthodox, people believe in the when the creator created everything and and gave Sariva and Lunaria the chance to make their worlds, he incorporated dragons.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):He pulled energies from the cosmos. Okay? Energies from before time, like, you know, the big bang. All those energies that existed out in the the universe, he pulled from that, and some of those energies were sentient beings. When he pulled that, he gave them life.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Those are the dragons. Okay? And he said that you, you know, I I I give you I charge you with, guiding mankind when it comes to magic. Okay? That's what the dragons were supposed to do.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):That was the first thing. Then with the elder gods, that was the first two generations of life on the planet that Seriva created. Seriva was allowed to choose her champions of each of these cultures, and they would each become the elder gods. That's where Thorin comes from. He was the greatest hero amongst the Hythereans in the first two generations, and he was given divinity.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):K. So kinda like Zeus, if Zeus worked for Jesus. I know that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but you gotta think that some of those beliefs happened before Jesus came. So before Seriva ever came to this planet in her own form, she called upon these elder gods, these champions that she imbued with power like a demigod or like lower gods, and they served her purposes when before she even came. So that's why they have Thorin.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):They have Caelon. Durinmir, I think, is the dwarven god. So all those gods were actually creep living creatures that she made immortal and gave power to, and they became the elder gods. And then as time passed, you know, when they were no longer wanting to exist in a mortal realm, she changed into constellations, and they could come back and forth. Okay?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):So but they've always been there to help her, and then dragons were supposed to do that too, but then the dragons split in 2 groups. One group that decided to rule over man because man was too stupid to control magic and the other were that tried to stick with what the creator charged them to do and said, no. We need to protect man and guide man. There's huge battles and stuff fought then too. Okay?
Dr. Awesome (Eric):That's why there's very few dragons around. The ones that are still around, they're either super ancient or they're so young they don't even remember the old ways. Okay. So that's a lot of stuff and you get that if you ever get a chance to flip through the record of the ages. I wrote some of those stories out so you could see how they played out.
Dr. Awesome (Eric):Okay? But you guys are, you know, on this verge here. Genjiro says, so with what Melody told us, it appears that Arianna had the ability to teleport you from that Ballenforth to right outside the cabin. If we could free her and she was a full power, maybe she could teleport all of us to al saddin and we could bypass a lot of this getting an airship and everything. She is definitely a powerful enough, sorcerer sorceress.
